The license question, answered first

No special license is required to tow or drive any of our RVs — a valid, regular driver's license is all you need in Arizona. Age rules do apply: 21 or older for travel trailers and toy haulers, 25 or older for motorhomes and the overlanding Jeep.

You'll also need full-coverage auto insurance that includes comprehensive and collision coverage for RV rentals. If your personal policy qualifies, you're set; if not, coverage can be purchased through our partner — rates usually run $29–$59 per day depending on the RV.

Match your tow rating to a real number, not a guess

Every trailer we rent publishes the numbers that matter on its own page: unloaded (dry) weight, hitch weight, GVWR, and hitch ball size. Check them against the tow rating in your vehicle's owner's manual before you book — that five-minute check is the difference between an easy weekend and a stressful one.

For scale: our lightest trailer, the Cherokee 16LP, has a published dry weight of 3,039 pounds — light enough that its page notes a midsize SUV can handle it. The bigger bunkhouse floor plans are among our heavier trailers — many call for a half-ton pickup — and every unit page lists its own dry weight, hitch weight, and GVWR.

The hitch: what to bring, what we handle

Our travel trailers and toy haulers are bumper-pull campers — standard ball-hitch towing, no fifth-wheel hitch required. Current trailer pages list a 2 5/16-inch hitch ball, and each page shows the hitch weight so you can set your receiver up right.

Towing with the motorhome

Yes, with limits: small, lightweight trailers only — the maximum tow weight is typically 3,500 pounds — and towing other vehicles isn't allowed. Motorhome towing requires the Towing + Hitch Add-On at $15 per day, which includes our adjustable hitch; the same fee applies if you want the receiver for a bike rack or cargo carrier.

When you'd rather not tow

Two honest alternatives: pick a Class C motorhome and drive instead of tow, or have us deliver the trailer — we deliver and set up at many Arizona campgrounds, homes, and event locations, quoted by distance and arranged in advance.
