❓What do I need to rent an RV?
Renting an RV is easy! Here’s what you’ll need:
-
A valid driver’s license
-
Be at least 25 years old for motorhomes or 21 years old for travel trailers
-
A valid credit card for your reservation and security deposit
-
Full-coverage auto insurance that includes comprehensive and collision coverage for RV rentals
❓How does RV rental pricing work?
The base rental price covers the RV itself plus tax — think of it as a blank canvas. Some renters bring their own gear, while others enjoy the convenience of adding extras.
We offer a variety of optional add-ons like generators, kitchen kits, linens, delivery, and more. Nothing is required — choose what fits your trip. We're a one-stop shop for camping and RVing.
Note: If the RV is returned damaged or excessively dirty, additional charges may apply for repairs or deep cleaning.
❓What is your holiday or special event pricing?
-
Holiday weekends: Weekend Special rate + $100, regardless of pickup day
-
Special events: Pricing varies by event. See event pages (e.g., Country Thunder, EDC) for details
Special event rentals require a $500 deposit and 50% of the rental total at booking. Add-ons and waivers still require a 5-day minimum.
We do not rent RVs for Burning Man.
❓Do you deliver RVs?
Yes! We offer delivery and setup to many campgrounds, homes, and event locations throughout Arizona. Pricing is based on distance and setup complexity.
Delivery must be arranged in advance. Let us know your destination, and we’ll give you a custom quote!
❓Can I go to Burning Man?
No. We do not allow any rentals to attend Burning Man or similar desert events. These environments are extremely damaging to RVs and violate our rental terms.
❓Are pets or service animals allowed?
Pets are allowed in pet-friendly units only, and a one-time pet fee applies. Service animals are always allowed in accordance with the law.
Note: We do have a small daily animal fee to help cover additional cleaning requirements.
❓What other fees do you charge?
The base rental price covers the RV itself plus tax — think of it as a blank canvas. Some renters bring their own gear, while others enjoy the convenience of adding extras.
We offer a variety of optional add-ons like generators, kitchen kits, linens, delivery, and more. Nothing is required — choose what fits your trip. We're a one-stop shop for camping and RVing.
Note: If the RV is returned damaged or excessively dirty, additional charges may apply for repairs or deep cleaning.
❓What are your mileage charges?
Mileage fees vary by RV type:
-
Trailers: Unlimited miles (Max trip limit 1500 Miles)
-
Motorhomes:
-
First 100 miles per day are free
-
After that:
-
101–150 miles/day = $0.39 per mile
-
151–200 miles/day = $0.69 per mile
-
Over 200 miles/day = $0.99 per mile
-
-
-
Jeeps: Charged at $0.39 per mile for all mileage
*We have a max limit of 1500 miles unless preapproved by our staff on all RV rentals.
❓Does the deposit go toward the rental cost, and when is it released?
No — your $300 deposit is a security deposit. After your trip, we inspect the RV and release any remaining deposit once the RV is returned clean, undamaged, and on time. This typically takes between 3-10 business days.
❓Do your RV rentals come with a generator?
Motorhomes come with built-in generators, but use is not included by default. To run the generator, you must purchase the Unlimited Use Generator Add-On.
Our travel trailers do not include built-in generators, but we rent portable generators that are RV-rated.
If you plan to dry camp or boondock, we strongly recommend adding a generator so you can run appliances and recharge the battery.
❓Can I pick up an RV on Sunday or after normal business hours?
Our office is closed on Sundays, but after-hours pickups, including on Sundays, are available for a small fee. This must be scheduled in advance and approved by our team.
❓How do I cool down the RV in extreme heat?
RV air conditioners are designed to cool the inside temperature to about 20 degrees lower than the outside. So, if it’s 110°F outside, the RV may only reach 90°F inside.
In Arizona heat — especially when temperatures exceed 100°F — it's important to use the air conditioner strategically to avoid performance issues like frozen coils caused by excess condensation. When the unit is overworked or set too low for extended periods, it can freeze over, which means you’ll have to shut it off for several hours to let it thaw before it will cool again.
You may also notice condensation dripping from the A/C unit onto the roof or down the side of the RV — this is completely normal. If you see water dripping inside the RV, it’s often because the condensation tray is overflowing due to high humidity or a clogged drain line. This can usually be managed by turning off the unit for a bit to let it reset.
🔧 Best strategy for hot days:
-
Start early – If possible, get the RV home and turn on the A/C several hours before your trip.
-
Don’t set the thermostat too low – Keep it around 75–78°F.
-
Cycle the unit – Give the A/C breaks to avoid freezing up.
-
Close windows and blinds – Reduce heat entering the RV.
-
Use a proper power source – Plug into a 30-amp or 50-amp outlet.
-
Add a fan – Help circulate air throughout the RV.
❓Do you allow smoking?
No smoking is allowed in any of our RVs — this includes tobacco, marijuana, and vaping. Evidence of smoking will result in a loss of deposit and cleaning/damage charges.
❓What if I’m planning to boondock, dry camp, or do dispersed camping?
If you plan to camp without hookups (known as boondocking, dry camping, or dispersed camping), we strongly recommend renting a generator.
Without a generator, you won’t have a way to recharge the RV's batteries, which power essential systems like lights, the water pump, and other 12V features. Air conditioning and microwave use also require 120V power, which is only available with shore power or a generator.
You’re welcome to use your own generator, but we recommend renting one of ours, as they’re properly rated and set up to work seamlessly with our RVs.
❓Can I make changes to my reservation?
Because our RV fleet is frequently moved between multiple locations to meet customer demand, even small changes can affect our entire logistics schedule. This is the main reason why we have strict policies around reservation changes — to ensure we can deliver a smooth experience to every renter.
We do not allow changes to rental dates once a reservation has been made. Additionally, add-ons cannot be changed within 10 days of your scheduled departure date.
To request any add-on changes, please respond directly to the email invoice we sent you. This helps us match the request to your booking and creates a paper trail confirming that changes were submitted at least 10 days before your trip.
All changes must be made in writing at least 10 days prior to your departure — no exceptions.
❓ Can I leave a vehicle there when I pick up the RV?
At our East Valley location, you're welcome to leave one personal vehicle while you're on your trip. Street parking is free, but if you'd prefer to park in our gated and fenced lot, we offer that option for a small fee.
Please note: Parking is only allowed at our East Valley location. None of our other rental locations offer vehicle parking. All vehicles are left at your own risk — please remove valuables and ensure your vehicle is locked.
❓ Can I look at the RV before I rent one?
Due to high demand, our RVs are frequently on the road or moved between multiple locations to fulfill reservations. Because of this, we do not allow in-person previews.
However, we do provide full walkthrough videos on our website for each RV so you can explore them in detail before you book.
❓ Do I need a special license to drive or tow an RV?
No special license is required! A valid, regular driver’s license is all you need to drive or tow any of our RVs. We’ll provide a walkthrough and instructional videos so you feel confident before hitting the road.
❓ What comes with the RV I rent?
All rentals include:
-
Fresh water hose
-
Sewer hose for dumping black and grey tanks
-
Electric hookup cord
-
Toilet paper rated for RV plumbing
-
Gray and black tank chemicals
Please note: We do not include cookware, dishes, linens, pillows, towels, stabilizer pads, or leveling blocks. If you need these, check our add-on section during booking.
Pets are allowed in pet-friendly units only, and a one-time pet fee applies. Service animals are always allowed in accordance with the law.
❓ What are the RV return expectations?
RV return time is 11:00 AM on your scheduled return date. Please return the RV on time to avoid late fees. Propane does not need to be completely filled — just returned at the same level it was at pickup (unless you purchased the Propane Refill Add-On).
❓ Can we pick up earlier than 3:00 PM on our pickup day?
Standard pickup time is after 3:00 PM. If you’d like to guarantee early access, we recommend booking one extra day at the beginning of your reservation. This is the best way to ensure the RV is ready in time and gives you a chance to get familiar with the RV before your trip.
We usually send out a special early pickup offer (for ½ day’s rate) on the Sunday before your trip, if the RV is available.
If the RV is not booked by another customer the day before your trip — we may offer early pickup starting at 9:30 AM for a discounted rate. This offer is never guaranteed.
❓ Can I tow something with the motorhome?
Yes — but only certain types of towing are allowed. We allow towing of small, lightweight trailers (like for ATVs or small cargo). The maximum tow weight is typically 3,500 lbs.
We do not allow towing of other vehicles.
To tow, you must select the Towing + Hitch Add-On ($15/day), which includes our adjustable hitch that must be used with your setup.
This fee also applies if you plan to use the receiver hitch for bike racks or cargo carriers. If you don’t select this add-on, the hitch receiver will remain locked and unusable.

Trip Location Restrictions
RV Phoenix LLC has a distance (mileage) restriction. No trips are allowed to exceed a maximum trip limit of 1500 round trip miles unless pre-approved by management.
RV Phoenix LLC does NOT allow any of our rental units to travel to BURNINGMAN.
A charge of $2500 will be charged to the card on file if found that the unit went to Burningman.
RV Phoenix LLC does NOT allow any of our rental units to travel to MEXICO or out of the Country.
❓ What if the A/C can’t keep up in extreme heat?
In high temps (especially 100°F+), it’s important to know that most RV air conditioners can only cool the interior to about 16–22°F below the outside temperature. This means your RV may stay in the mid-80s or 90s inside during peak heat.
To help your A/C work more effectively:
✅ Park smart – Look for shade, use awnings, and avoid direct sun
✅ Block the sun – Close all blinds and use reflective window covers if you have them
✅ Ventilate wisely – Open windows or roof vents early or late in the day for airflow
✅ Pre-cool – Turn on the A/C early in the morning, before the heat builds up
🚫 IMPORTANT NOTICE: Avoid driving during peak heat – Traveling in the afternoon when it’s hottest can make the RV harder to cool and stress the system
❓ What kind of insurance coverage do I need?
All renters must have full-coverage auto insurance that includes comprehensive and collision coverage for RV rentals. If your personal policy qualifies, you're all set. If not, you can purchase coverage through our partner — rates usually range from $29–$59/day depending on the RV.
❓ Do your RV rentals come with a generator?
Our motorhomes come with built-in generators, but use is not included unless you purchase our unlimited generator add-on. Travel trailers do not have built-in generators — we offer portable generator rentals.
If you are planning on boondocking or dry camping, we highly recommend you rent a generator. Without one, you won’t have a way to recharge the batteries that power several RV features. You may use your own generator, but ours are specifically set up to work efficiently with our RVs.
