Tire Protection — What It Covers

Tire Protection is an optional add-on you can add to your rental for $3 per rental day. If you purchased it, it pays to replace up to two tires damaged by road hazards — replaced at Discount Tire. It is a separate product from your rental agreement, and it only applies if you bought it.

Only if you purchased it

Tire Protection has to be on your rental for any tire to be covered. If it was not added to your booking, there is no tire coverage and the tire terms in your rental agreement apply as written. Not sure whether you have it? Call us at 1-602-755-4808 and we will check your reservation.

Discount Tire only

Any tire replacement must be completed at a Discount Tire location to qualify. Discount Tire holds our fleet account, which is what makes the coverage work. If you buy a tire from any other shop or third party, RV Phoenix, LLC will not cover the cost and cannot reimburse you — they are not a fleet partner.

This is not roadside assistance

Tire Protection does not send anyone to you, and it does not cover towing, service calls, or labor at the roadside. It covers the cost of replacing a tire when the tire is taken to Discount Tire.

Call us before anything is replaced

Prior authorization is required. Call 1-602-755-4808 before any tire is repaired or replaced so we can authorize it against our fleet account. Work done without authorization is not covered.

What it covers

• Road-hazard damage — glass, metal, potholes, debris, nails, blowouts and similar road hazards.
• Up to two (2) tires per rental.
• Replacement performed at any Discount Tire location in the United States.

What it does not cover

• Rentals that did not purchase Tire Protection.
• Tires bought or replaced anywhere other than Discount Tire.
• Roadside assistance, towing, or service calls.
• Any repair or replacement done without calling us for authorization first.
• Damage that happens on unpaved roads.
• More than two (2) tires in one rental.
